Notice 2nd Notice of Teaching Arrangement for the 1st Semester of Academic Year 2021/2022 (Applicable for New Postgraduate Students) Dear Postgraduate Students, Welcome to the University of Macau! In view of the unstable situation of COVID-19 in Macao, Mainland China and neighbouring regions, we would like to inform you that the first two weeks of classes in the coming semester will be conducted ONLINE. Students are advised to stay where you currently are and avoid any unnecessary travel. The University will keep you updated about the teaching arrangement in the week of 23 August 2021 and please pay close attention to the following important dates. Date Activity Remarks New students who are from outside of Macao are not required to arrive on campus for registration within the originally scheduled time frame. 2 - 11 August 2021 New Student Registration Students will be advised to submit the registration documents ONLINE. Please pay attention to your email for detailed arrangement. 12 – 16 August 2021 Course Enrolment Subject to the announcement of Academic Unit of your programme. 18 – 27 August 2021 Course Add/Drop 18 August 2021 First day of classes 18-31 August 2021 All classes will be conducted ONLINE. 23-27 August 2021 Teaching arrangement from 1 September onwards will be announced. Please pay close attention to the University notice and student email. If the situation of COVID-19 is getting stable and improving, the classes will resume normal. - For the international students who are not permitted to enter Macao, online classes will be continued. - For Macao, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan students, all classes will mainly be arranged on a face-to-face teaching mode. Please be prepared for returning to the University and pay close attention to your student email in the week of 23 August 2021. The University will keep offering online classes for the period that you travel from your home cities to the University, undergo mandatory isolation and medical observation required by the Macao SAR Government (approximately two weeks). 1/2 If the situation of COVID-19 is still unstable, online classes will be continued until further notice. Students must pay attention to the physical and mental health of yourselves and others. Please be reminded to wear a mask, wash hands frequently, keep a distance and avoid crowd gathering. The University is closely monitoring the situation of COVID-19 and will make necessary adjustments to the teaching arrangement in accordance with the announcements and prevention guidelines of the Macao SAR Government.
